Implants

Implants are used to:

  • Act as the support to replace
    • Single crowns
    • Bridges
    • Dentures

If you are missing a tooth or even a series of teeth and a removable denture isn’t deemed an option, you might be a candidate for dental implants. They are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth in either arch of your mouth.

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth. The procedure is relatively simple and highly predictable. Recovery/downtime is minimized through planning and doctor skill level.

Implants provide a strong long-term predictable foundation to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are small anchors made of a biocompatible metal called titanium, which are placed in the jawbone. Titanium is used so frequently because it is considered the most biocompatible metal due to its resistance to corrosion, high strength and capacity for osseointegration, meaning that bone will grow and weave itself into the implant, effectively merging the bone and titanium into a single structure. The anchors begin to fuse with the bone over a few months. After the fusing process is completed, abutment posts are inserted into the anchors to allow for the permanent attachment of the replacement teeth.

Dr. Christopher Di Turi may suggest an implant as they are an excellent long-term option for restoring your smile.

Regenerative Medicine

PRT Can:

  • Accelerate the regrowth of
    • Gum Tissue
    • Oral Bone

Platelet-Rich Therapy (PRT) using your own platelet-rich plasma is an innovative and cutting-edge treatment that uses the body’s own cells to restore and to rebuild bone and soft tissues, like your gums.

Many professional athletes and thousands of recreational athletes have undergone this relatively simple procedure with impressive results.

The concept of PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is based on the centrifugation of whole blood without anticoagulants.

Numerous international publications demonstrate the effectiveness of PRF in many indications: oral surgery (implants, bone grafting, periodontal surgery, extractions, etc…), Orthopedic, cosmetic and dermatological surgery.

The oral treatment treatments have demonstrated excellent results with:

  • Reduced healing time
  • Reduced infection rates
  • Accelerated bone regeneration
  • Rapid soft tissue (gums) regeneration

As part of our continual commitment to provide our patients with state-of-the-art treatment options, Dr. Mitchel Gardiner and Dr. Christopher Di Turi, is currently offering this breakthrough treatment.
