We ask that you realize that we do not work for an insurance company. Rather we work 100% for our patients. We feel that insurance can be a great benefit for many patients and want you to know we will do everything in our power to ensure you get every benefit allotted in your insurance contract. However, the treatment we recommend and the fees we charge will always be based on your individual needs and not based on your insurance coverage.

Dental Insurance and Our Office

Nearly all dental insurance plans have annual maximums, deductibles and copayments.

We are considered out-of-network with many major insurance plans. This means the insurance may or may not pay a portion of fee for dental work. For whatever the insurance does not cover, and any deductibles, is wholly the patient’s responsibility.

As we are considered out-of-network with many insurance plans, we do accept assignment of benefits with the following insurance companies:

Insurance Frequently Asked Questions

What are annual insurance maximums?

If your insurance plan is subject to an annual maximum, that means that the insurance company will pay only up to a predetermined amount in your plan year. These maximums can range from as low as $500.00 to greater than $4,000.00 per cycle. Also the annual cycle can range from Calendar Year (Jan-Dec.) or Fiscal Year (Jul-Jun).

What is a deductible and co-insurance?

If you insurance plan is subject to an annual deductible that means the insurance company will defer payment responsibility to you until your annual deductible is met and will then begin making payments.

As we are considered out-of-network with all major insurance plans, whatever the insurance does not pay for becomes your co-insurance and is wholly your responsibility. So for example if your insurance pays only 80% of a procedure, your co-insurance would be the remaining 20%.

What is assignment of benefits?

All insurance companies require payments for treatment to be assigned to either the subscriber (patient) or the dental office providing treatment. In our office we accept this assignment of benefits, which means your insurance company will make payment to us and you, the patient, will pay the remaining balance.

How do I find out if your office takes my insurance?

As mentioned before we do try to work with many insurance companies, however at times we may not be too familiar with your particular plan. Your insurance carrier should have a member telephone line for you to call if you have any questions about your policy.

We will do our best to assist you but as we do not work for insurance companies nor are we the subscribed member, we are limited in providing all the answers.

This office accepts all different payment options and will work with you to find the best one that suits you. We accept payment through all major credit card companies, including VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, & DISCOVER. We also accept cash and checks. For patients who wish for payment plans, we also accept CARECREDIT.
